Process & Global Supply

– Technical Know How and Manufacturing Expertise in the furniture industry

– Vertical Integration

Linked Resourcing has built and/or developed factories all over the world, principally the UK, Poland, Slovenia, Serbia, Malaysia and China – always where there is a local supply of good, sustainable timber.

Size is not a pre-determinant, but commercial security and growth are key factors

The largest project was a US$52million investment in Kedah, Malaysia for Guthrie Sdn Bhd including a 30,000m² furniture manufacturing complex. This was a pioneering project to utilise rubberwood, a biproduct of the rubber plantations and which had previously been burnt (with additional environmental impact)

Linked Resourcing worked via government agencies in economic reconstruction of the furniture industry in Hungary and ex-Yugoslavia in the 1990’s. One outcome was the formation of a joint-venture “Liko-Link” with a former parastatal furniture company in Yugoslavia.

The smallest project was a specialist manufacturer in the UK to assist a large Retailer with product development and local procurement.

Linked Resourcing’s involvement has been to design the factory layout and production systems. This automatically builds in production and quality control systems to underpin efficiency and assured supply

Our approach ensures there is a good understanding of commercial factors and cost controls in the management team from the outset. It develops systems and processes that are applicable to the situation

Linked Resourcing assists with management training, and finally implements a formal Quality Assurance process using the BS6001 system “Inspection by Attributes”

Linked Resourcing integrates and manages the supply chain/merchandising processes – the link between manufacturer and retailer.
